P2/3 have been learning all about Winter in our new topic and what better way to reinforce their learning than play stations which reflect our Topic work, Literacy, Art and Number work. Children really enjoy their play sessions and learn so much through collaborating and working with their peers. We hope you enjoy this little glimpse into our P2/3 playtime.
Topic work: Bird watching from our den, constructing Arctic landscapes from Lego, building igloos from sugar cubes.
Literacy: Matching the winter picture with the word, reading of igloo building instructions, sounding out winter words to spell with magnetic letters, Spelling Shed and the winter book nook.
Numeracy: Bird watching tally marks, money games to make certain amounts (P2) and change from 50p (P3)
Art: Polar Bear cut and stick, shaded painting of Arctic landscape and Polar Bear painting
