So far in Late Club...

29th Oct 2019

In the late club 4 to 5 pm we have been busy this past few weeks and all of a sudden it’s Hallowe’en!

Whilst taking advantage of the lovely weather we have been outdoors on the trim trail and trying to improve our own circuit times; using the scooters and go-karts, play equipment, played cricket, dodgeball, had a few bug hunts out and around the school before the little creatures go into hibernation.

We followed up our bug hunt by investigating on line all the little creatures we found and believe it or not we discovered that our dreaded 8 legged creatures ‘spiders’ are the best house guests we can have!!!

Some of the children decided to make a power point or poster on a particular topic they are interested in and continue to work on this on our ICT Thursday.

We have also been doing some art on the found creatures and our woodlouse was a sticky creature to make over the weeks.

Cooking was a favourite with our staff as well as the children with lots of yummy smells coming from the classroom all around the school. We got to sample eggy bread, toasted sandwiches, savoury wraps, cheese cake and lovely milkshake.

To finish off our Hallowe’en treats, we made chocolate apples and monster biscuits, looking at the children’s faces they gave their approval.

Don't forget children are welcome to change into casual clothes for late club and can also bring a favourite table top game from home to share with the group.  We love to find out about their favourite things to do at home too.  Bookings for late club can be made with the monthly booking form or last minute bookings can be made over the phone.
