P2/3 The ODD thing about numbers is that some of them are EVEN!

15th Oct 2020

We've had a busy week thinking about numbers and what makes them different!  We discovered that some numbers make great sets of pairs but other numbers leave one out - these are called odd and even numbers!  We had fun trying to remember which numbers were odd and which numbers were even by playing a team game where we had to race to identify which type of number it was.  We also sang the 'Farmer had a dog' song but instead of being called Bingo this farmer had two dogs called Odd: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and Even: 0, 2, 4, 6, 8.

We also enjoyed some group work in our table bubbles where we sorted the numbers into odd and even on a Caroll Diagram.  We also know a sneaky way to tell if a HUGE number is odd or even now so make sure to test us if you can!
