P2/3

17th Dec 2020

Mrs Connor has had such a lovely week with her happy little bunch that she wants to show you some of the things they've been up to.

Christmas was definitely high on the list but we managed to sneak in some Literacy and Numeracy too - all disguised with a Christmassy twist!

Some examples of our Numeracy: Addition: roll the dice and add the numbers to win the present - two dice for P2 and 3 dice for P3!  Time: Santa left the North Pole at quarter to 2 - what would that be in digital? Christmas tree addition and subtraction. Snowman beetle drive.

Some examples of our Literacy: Find the Christmassy words in the picture beginning with the 'c' sound, spelling of Christmas words, Beat the teacher game, handwriting of the Christmas Story and what would your snowman do if he came alive?

Some examples of our Art: Christmas cards, Christmas colouring, Tree art, 2d snowman and colourful paper chains to brighten our classroom plus DRAMA when we acted out the Angels visit to the Shepherds and the Kings journey to Bethlehem - we had lots of Oscar worthy performances and I really wish I'd filmed it!!

We've had a super SU assembly, Pupil of the Month assembly and lots of Christmas music too.  The children are all excited but have continued to work so well at all times so a huge well done to them all.  A truly lovely week to have on the run up to our holidays.

Merry Christmas everyone!
