P2/3 Egg Week

Well done to all our P2 and P3 children who have been working hard this week on their online learning, Spelling Shed, Accelerated Reading and outdoor activities.  It's lovely to see the photos of you all enjoying your learning and getting outside for some practical activities too.

Literacy: This week they have been focusing on 'Egg' week and learning all about the lifecycle of the chicken. We received some great photos of lifecycles, lifecycle comprehensions and even live chickens photos too!  We also had two FANTASTIC entries into our 'Home' short writing competition so a big well done to those children also!

In Numeracy, as well as subtraction, P2/3 have been measuring with a pencil and a metre strip.  We hope you enjoy the photos - some children were measuring VERY big places indeed!

Our P.E. task this week was an alphabet exercise session.  Pick a word and do the related exercise which matches each letter of that word.  We have some photos of this too and I hear that even some Mummys were joining in with the P.E. fun which is great!

This week some children were out and about exercising on their bikes, taking part in science experiments, planting seeds, feeding hens, building their dream milking parlours, baking and creating their names using objects from nature - WHAT a busy bunch of industrious children!
