P4/5, as part of their World Around Us Topic - Passport to Europe, will be learning about European Artists with Mrs Hay. They began this work by learning about Henri Matisse who was a French artist. Matisse created his art work by cutting out paper shapes and so P4/5 decided to do the same! They cut pieces of coloured paper into various shapes and arranged them onto a bright backing sheet to make their own Matisse Masterpieces. When they were happy with their designs they stuck them down and we think they turned out wonderfully! P4/5 named their masterpieces and even though they might not make $33.6 Million like Matisse's 'The Snail', we think ours are super!
