P3/4 had a brilliant time making heart shaped shortbread biscuits to share with our loved ones this Valentines Day. The children learned the importance of clear, ordered instructions, so that their biscuits would turn out well. Working in groups, they followed the recipe to make shortbread hearts, then rewrote the instructions in their own words. They remembered to include all the important features, like time connectives and bossy verbs. I've included an example of their work, so you can have a go making these yummy biscuits at home.
