Going bananas!

You're going to think we've gone bananas when you see what P3/4 have been up to this week. 
We have been learning about mummification as part of our Ancient Egypt topic. Amazingly you can use the same process to mummify a banana. First of all, we had to watch a demonstration, then write a set of instructions and finally follow our instructions to make our mummies. What a lot of skills were involved: cutting, scooping, sewing and wrapping with bandages. Everyone rose to the challenge.
Our mummies are now drying out in their bath of salt, waiting till they can come home with the P3/4 children.
