The Science Team who so splendidly won the Science and Technology Challenge at the regional WELB level, travelled to Belfast last week to compete in the NI finals against 24 other schools from across the province. By their own admittance, they had a bit of a disaster towards the end of their alloted time, however, they had a thoroughly enjoyable day out, including a trip around W5!
Three children from Primary Seven travelled to the North West Teacher's Centre last week to compete with 23 other schools for a place in the regional Finals of the annual Science Challenge.
The pressure was on the children-after the previous teams had qualified for the past two years...........and this year they didn't disappoint either!
Jack, KJ and Kyle will now travel to the regional Finals in Omagh at the start of April to compete for a place in the Northern Ireland Finals in Belfast-best of luck guys!
Three girls from Primary Seven travelled to the North West Teachers' Centre today to enter the local heats of the Regional Science Challenge.
The Donemana team-the only all girl team on display-had to create a moving vehicle to carry and egg down a slope and over a ramp.
Although they didn't manage to win, they did manage a place in the top five and are now through to the area finals to be held in Omagh in April......congratulations girls!
