Sports Day Splash Down
P7s waiting for the off Sports Day took place today at the wonderful facility provided by Donemana Cricket Club...............though sadly the weather promised slightly more than it delivered! All the events were completed except the Primary Seven wheelbarrow race and the house relay races. These will be completed at the next available opportunity within the school grounds!

Thumb: concentration Special thanks go to Donemana CC for the use of their grounds, James Dunn for use of his lane for access, the PTA for their tuck shop and raffle-and duck race......and also to sam and Joe Robinson, who ended up wetter than all the ducks put together!
Thumb: and the winner is Despite the addition of rain to the river very few ducks managed to complete the course! The first duck home was lucky number 6 for Newmanda Dunn, followed by Dean Black in second and Gemma Caldwell in third. They will each receive £50, £30 and £20 respectively.
NOTE:
We have tried very hard to adhere to parent's wishes regarding the use of children's images on the internet. However, with the number of images and the number of children in some of the shots, we may have inadvertently added a child's image where we shouldn't. If this has happened, please inform us and the image will be immediately removed.

FANTASTIC FUN RUN

what a venue The weather broke through the skies at the Roe Valley Country Park today and allowed the kids to have a great time running and walking round the park-and to have a lovely picnic!

hi ho and away we go

Although we started under grey skies and light drizzle, by the time the race was run, glorious sunshine greeted us over the line.

sorted sunshine on a rainy day

a pleasant stroll a tight finish

All the children completed the course with smiles on their faces, but there were some notable performances, including one of the highest order from Ben Garfield!

great performances from these two The 2.5 mile course was covered by Ben in just 17 minutes-very, very impressive-and cost Mr Guy another £20 for the charity! Ben's pace was just under seven minutes per mile-and I reckon he still had plenty left in the tank......I know, because all I saw were his heels!

Ben was followed home by David Campbell in second place and Craig Holmes in third.

kim and aggies big day out Chloe Campbell was the first girl across the line in another impressive performance.

A large number of parents were there to help and we are extremely grateful to them!

almost there best part of the day

However, even with Ben's performance, the best performance of the day was in the fundraising department, and the charity, chosen by the Primary 7 children-SCHOOLCHILDREN FOR CHILDREN, will benefit by at least £1,145-by far the largest amount raised in recent years!

TAG Rugby Trip 2007

Blurred feet The children in Mr Guy's class followed up their series of TAG Rugby sessions with a trip to City of Derry Rugby club today. The children competed in a group competition where the emphasis was on fun and enjoyment!

The children were placed in a group with Long Tower PS, Mullabuoy PS and St. Mary's Boys PS. The teams were expected to field 6 boys and two girls, and everyone in the squad of twelve got a game.

In pain? Full speed ahead

Also in attendance were our video experts(*&£???) who enjoyed the sunshine avid fans and captured all the action on video....or at least some of it...   .....well maybe a little........or actually maybe not much at all!!!!!!

clean pair of heels Confused

This was the children's first time competing in rugby circles, and whilst they clearly enjoyed it, they also did pretty well, winning two of their three games!

TOOTLE POWER!!! Who what where?

Get Off!!!! The switch
