Notices Awards & Mentions
There was another first for school today! Having entered the Northern Ireland Science challenge in previous years, the last two years have proven very successful-on both occassions passing through the local and regional finals into the Northen Ireland finals as runners up, this year's group went one better!
Having passed through the local heats as a runner up, they went to Omagh today to compete inthe regional finals and, for the first ever time, won the entire competition!
The children had to complete a 'marble drop' challenge-including making the marble take as long as possible, lighting an electric light as the marble started the journey and catching it at the end.
Congratulations go to Kirsty, Kyle and Jack for their achievement-and for winning the school a new digital camera!
Congratulations to our winners of our annual Easter Competition-all the children took part and had great fun doing so.
The winners will all receive an Easter Egg in assembly tomorrow morning.
A special mention goes the different children who won our recent art competition to design a cover for our Christmas Cards. There were individual winners from each year group, as well as an additional Principal's pick.
The cards are being printed at the moment, and we hope to have them available for sale next week.
The winners received a framed copy of their art work during yesterday's assembly.
We were delighted to receive news yesterday that we have landed another new football kit courtesy of a competition entered by children earlier in the year. Although lots of our children entered, CHLOE BOYD from Primary 6, had a super entry and claimed a runner up spot for the whole of County Tyrone!
This is the second year we have gained a kit-last year Kim Curry also won through.....two girls in two years.....come on boys!!!
The competition was the CIS Insurance-Design a Kit Cometition-and we are very grateful to them for their running of the competition!
