P1 had such a lovely and exciting day today! Off we went on the school bus on our first trip and we went to the Post Office in Artigarvan. We were so well looked after and got some yummy treats! We were able to use the proper Post Office stamp on our Santa letters before posting them in the big post bag.
We then heard all about what happens at the Post Office and saw all the things there. When we came back to school we did some writing to help us plan the extra things we need for our Post Office in our role play corner to make it even more fun!
Also when we got back to school we had another lovely surprise as our Postman had delivered a parcel! Inside the parcel was a fabulous new story called 'The Jolly Christmas Postman'. We loved the story and will be doing some fun activities about it in the coming weeks.
