On Saturday 25th October Mrs Hay will be flying to Washington DC for the week on a British Council Study Visit. She was one of only 5 applicants successful in obtaining a place on this trip. She will be there to visit schools and meet with policy makers to learn about best practice for 'closing the gap' - for making sure that each child reaches his / her full potential. The trip is focused on the importance of parental involvement and high quality after school provision for improving standards in literacy and numeracy.
We hope Mrs Hay has a very interesting trip and comes back with lots of ideas to benefit our school.
