Today, Tuesday 22nd January, we had The Ulster Scots come to our school to teach P4/5 and up about the history of the Ulster Scots and there language. They introduced us to the history of Ulster Scots by a short performence, and made the last hour of school fun for the classes.
It all started in class where Adam (main character), was asked to read a page of a book outloud. Little did he know he was talking Ulster Scots or as I would put it something a bit like Donemana Slang.
Throughout the play Adam and his friend had guests from the past who told stories about the way thing were for the Ulster Scots.
By the sound of laughter and outbursts from everyone, especially Shane Stevenson, who burst out with laughter towards the end. I would say it was an enjoyable afternoon and a fun way of learning about history!!!!
